Building the Framework for Regulated Digital Assets
Monee is developing and testing an institutional-grade process for bringing real-world assets onchain.
Our goal is to combine the safeguards of traditional finance with the efficiency and transparency of blockchain within a regulated environment.
Our Process
1 — Institutional Onboarding
All participants complete a full KYC/AML verification process aligned with institutional standards. We’re testing automated onboarding and eligibility models designed to support accredited and regulated participants.
Focus areas:
- Identity verification and due-diligence workflows
- Documentation management and secure data handling
- Privacy by design in compliance with GDPR and UK data laws
2 — Asset Tokenization
We’re exploring how traditional securities — from Treasuries to funds — can be represented as compliant digital tokens. Each tokenization flow is being designed to ensure full reserve backing, auditability, and regulatory transparency.
Testing elements:
- Off-chain asset representation → onchain record
- Smart-contract controls for issuance and redemption
- Real-time reporting and proof-of-reserves mechanisms
3 — Secure Custody & Controls
Custody arrangements are being tested with qualified institutional partners. Security is central to the design — combining multi-signature authorization, segregated accounts, and independent oversight.
Objectives:
- Independent asset verification
- Exploration of insurance coverage for custodial assets
- Rigorous internal security and access controls
4 — Liquidity & Redemption Testing
Within the DSS environment, Monee is validating mechanisms for onchain settlement, redemption, and liquidity under compliance supervision. The aim is to create seamless yet fully regulated liquidity pathways for future institutional use.
5 — Governance & Transparency
Monee is designing a governance framework where MNE holders can help shape parameters, treasury allocations, and ecosystem development once regulatory approval permits.
Transparency will be built in through onchain reporting and verifiable audits.
